When Albert Edward SYMONDS died  Alice RUTLAND had to leave the
tied cottage to make room for the next gamekeeper.

A subsequent employer offered
Ted SYMONDS an education at the Bluecoat School,
and Bessie SYMONDS an orphanage,
and Alice RUTLAND a live-in job:
but Alice would not be parted from the children.

They moved back to Morgan Cottage to live with Stephen and Constance.
In order to keep herself and the 2 children  Alice RUTLAND accepted an
offer of marriage from a Crudgington.

The new family CRUDGINGTON moved to Hornchurch

         Maud Rutland married and emigrated to the Malay States, then Australia;

          Maud had a baby out of wedlock Winifred Maud.
          Maud jnr was not wanted on voyage

     This fact was concealed until Stephen found out, and told her to
     ‘bring that baby home immediately’. Stephen and Constance brought her up.

John (Jack) Rutland

Charles Hubert Rutland aka Hubert Joseph Rutland
         Birth 11 Feb1901 in Blakeney, Norfolk, England
         Death 24th May 1980 aged 79

          Served in WW2  Sherwood Forresters.
          He became the Assistant Bath Master in Renfrew

          Hubert, it is told, was the only person to swim from the Watch House to
          Blakeney Point. Teaching the young local children to swim, Hubert used
          to throw them in the channel when the mother's expressed their
          concerns he's say 'don't worry misses their heads will soon pop
          up'.....and they did.
